The concept of the "cloud" in electronic technology operates as a metaphor that proposes a decoupling of devices from the earth. However, that language seems to forget that all technology has its origin in the ground. Silicon, the raw material of transistors and processors, is the second most abundant material on earth. Copper conducts and connects global geopolitics, as Ingrid Wildi suggests. Plastic comes from millennial fossil fuels. According to Jussi Parikka, these elements, in their use, degrade themselves, returning to their condition of "dust". Along the way, through various energies, they move, transform and relate.
Through analog electronic circuitry, this work interconnects logic gates that allow electrons to "converse" through questions and answers. The result manifests in a small movement, provoked by the interaction between electromagnetic fields and small magnets.
