June, 2023

Sound piece generated from listening with a hydrophone to the melting of an iceberg from Collins Glacier, floating alongside a small island. The sonic variations are produced by the melting process, successive immersions, the block of ice colliding with others, and the hydrophone rubbing against the frozen surface. The recording is part of the project "Utopías y distopías de la modernidad" by the Chilean artist Ingrid Wildi Merino, and was made on King George Island.
